Sautéed Stuffed Squid Recipe(Pla Meuk Yat Sai Recipe) |
Ingredients: Serves 6 |
6-8 medium-sized fresh whole squid 250g ground pork 1 teaspoon chopped coriander a pinch of pepper powder 1 tablespoon chopped garlic 1 tablespoon fish sauce 1 teaspoon sugar 1 tablespoon light soy sauce 1 egg (slightly beaten) 1 teaspoon chopped onion Other Ingredients: 2 teaspoons sliced fresh ginger ½ cup scallions cut in 1″ lengths ½ cup sliced Shiitake mushrooms 1 tablespoon oyster sauce ¼ cup oil 1 teaspoon minced garlic |
Method: Clean the squid and set aside. In a bowl, mix the rest of the remaining ingredients (except Other Ingredients) by hand. Stuff this filling into the whole squid and steam for 15 minutes. Then, cut diagonally into slices. Into the ¼ cup of hot vegetable oil, add the sliced stuffed squid along with the remaining Other Ingredients listed and fry for 5 minutes. Drain and serve with steamed fragrant rice. |
