Stewed Beancurd Recipe

600g firm beancurd

1 pot basic stewing broth (please refer

  to More Taiwanese Recipes below)


Stewing broth goes bad easily after beancurd has been cooked in it.  Therefore, prepare another pot of stewing broth and keep separate.  Rinse beancurd well, stew over low heat in stewing broth for 10 minutes.  Remove from heat and soak until the liquid begins to cool.  The longer the beancurd is soaked, the more flavorful it will be.  Do not stew over high heat.  When cooled, remove and serve.
