Banana Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

3 slices whole meal bread

2 bananas, sliced

10g chopped walnuts

200ml milk

20g butter

20g castor sugar

teaspoon banana essence (optional)

1 egg

 

Method:

Cut off the sides of breads and slice into 2.5cm (1-inch) squares.  Arrange breads and bananas into casserole.  Warm the milk.  Pour over breads and soak for 10 minutes.  Meanwhile, preheat oven to 175°C.  Stir soften butter with sugar.  Add in banana essence.  Stir in egg until well combined.  Sprinkle walnuts onto soaked breads.  Pour in egg mixture.  Bake in oven for 30 minutes or until golden browned.  Serve hot.
