Method:
Mix rice flour, corn flour and 1200ml
water in a mixing bowl and strain into a pot. Add alkaline
water, salt and oil. Stir and cook with medium heat until
half-cooked. Pour into a greased 22cm (9") round steaming tray
and steam with high heat for about 45 minutes until cooked.
Leave to cool completely before slicing and serve with stewed meat.
NB:
You can also serve this chilled alkaline rice cake with gula melaka
(palm sugar) syrup.
